What to expect
Counselling is a conversation where we listen to you in a trained way.
We offer counselling in 50-minute sessions. Counselling is usually on a weekly basis to allow for consistency and growth on your journey. We generally meet at the same time each week but this is arranged with your counsellor.
We offer long and short term counselling, which will depend on your needs and what you hope to get from counselling. Your counsellor will discuss this with you during your initial session.
The initial session is a chance for you to explain a bit about what has brought you to counselling, and for your counsellor to begin to get a picture of what life is like for you. You and your counsellor have a chance to consider how you feel about working together. We look at where you might like this journey to take you and agree how we will start to work together.
